Sept 4th 2009

Today is Erik's 23rd birthday. Last night we went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory to celebrate. Oh what fun, and what good food, and service! (Earlier this summer I went to this restaurant for lunch, and had the worst meal AND service I've ever had. So this was a nice surprise!)

Sept 1 2009

We are getting ready to head back to Arizona! We leave our apartment on Thursday. And we will be a Shirley's house for a few days. Some last minute visiting and then some camping and then we are off!

We had quite the time finding a restaurant for dinner. We first went to a place in Bellevue, but it wasn't up to our standards! So we tried Barnabys in Renton, but it was closed. So we went to The Keg in Renton. It was great and I got to eat Lobster!!!!!! Yum Yum!!

Also my niece Kendra (my sister, Joanne's daugther) had her first baby today! CONGRAT'S!! She is adorable!!

We finally celebrated Amy's 50th birthday! although it is 3 months late!

Aug 12 2009

What a great dinner everyone! Ten of us from the David Douglas High School Class of 1971 got together for dinner. Oh what fun to catch up with "old" friends! We discussed starting to find, and gather classmates information so we can prepare for our 40 year reunion in 2011!!! Some people belong to Classmates.com and/or Facebook.com. We hope to reach out and contact as many classmates of ours as possible to prepare for our 40th reunion! So if you know of anyone from our class, have them contact Skip Amos, Patty (Pierce) Stanwood (not at the dinner), or me (Dianne Wheeler Pratt Doerschel) or just send us their information. We will start to compile a list!

And next time, our dinner will have even more wonderful classmates attending!

Aug 9 2009

Robert and I have been here in Renton, WA about a month. We got here July 1st. July was an awesome month! It was hot here! SOOOO NICE! We loved it and most everyone else hated it. Now August is the normal gray, rainy and cold weather we moved away from! Looking forward to the weather getting warm again!

Aug 4 2009 Nicole and Missay fixed dinner for us mom's! Great dinner daughters!!!

Aug 1-2 2009 Queen of the Courts Racquetball Tournament in Olympia, WA

Us ladies decided to enhance our look!
Polly Carson, Vivian Rodriguez, Dianne Doerschel, and Cheyenne Hayes strut our stuff!

Here is a photo of most of the girls. A few couldn't make the wonderful banquet dinner on Saturday night at Izzy's in Olympia. Thanks Cheyenne for a great tournament and a fantastic time bonding with all these great ladies!!!

Aug 1 2009 Robert went to see the Blue Angels from Seward Park with Aaron and Courtney and Kayia and Lindsay and Reid.

Kayia didn't mind wearing her helmet at all! Aaron and Courtney had just gotten a bike stroller and brought it to the park. Kayia had a great time riding in it.

July 17 2009 Amy and Myron came to visit our apartment on Lake Washington. We saw a great sunset! In fact, every night has been a beautiful sun set!

July 11 2009 Kayia's 1st Birthday Party at Lake Wilderness Park!

Kayia wasn't very interested in her birthday presents. But she was very happy playing with this flip flop. In fact, Aaron tried to take away the thong from Kayia when he was trying to get her interested in her birthday cake. And she cried!

Courtney finally did get Kayia interested in a couple of the toys she got.

And Aaron was finally successful in getting Kayia to try eating her cupcake! But she really wasn't that impressed with the cake. She liked the 1 year old candle stick though better!

July 8 2009 Robert and I got to babysit Kayia all day! We had a blast! And she was awesome! She never freaked out or fussed at all!

4th of July We spent the 4th here at our apartment - - - actually at Coulon beach next door! What a great place to be when the weather was so wonderful! And we watched the fireworks from our private dock! We really like this apartment building.
